CHANDIGARH: Apple's new software — iOS 7 — is making its users sick. Literally. The software redesign that was rolled out last month is causing motion sickness, nausea and even vertigo, many Tricity residents have complained by sharing their comments on official and unofficial Apple forums.
"Since I have downloaded iOS 7 on my i-pad and i-phone, I am experiencing motion sickness and vertigo. This new operating system has incorporated very fast animations into basic software features of mobile machine and they are a mismatch," said Anmol Bhaskar, a city resident.
"Using iOS 7 is making me sick. There are multi-tasking functions that contain fake 3-D effectsand using them causes dizziness and nausea. While browsing between various applications and the folders that hold them, the screen zooms in and zooms out very fast and it is not at all a good experience," said Soham Bali, another user of i-phone and a resident of Sector 7.
iOS is the seventh version of Apple"s mobile operating system. It was launched on September 18.
"Using some applications of iOS 7 is just like reading a newspaper while you are sitting in a car that is going through a bumpy road. I do not like it," said Shivani Dhiman, an MSc student.
"iOS 6 was more user-friendly and I am missing it. iOS 7 is putting strain on my eyes and I the screen of my phone is too small to do justice to its features," said Harkamal Kaur, an HR professional.
